CBD for Pets
While we are becoming more and more aware of the benefits of CBD for ourselves, recent studies have found that there seems to be benefits for our pets as well. In fact, many veterinarians now carry lines of CBD products for their pet patients. It goes without saying that while your pet cannot EASILY go to the internet to validate the quality of the CBD products that their owners have chosen for them, it seems important that we should do the same research to verify the quality of the CBD products we give to our furry friends.
Chances are, you know or have heard about someone who used CBD on a sick pet or one with behavioral issues. Many pet owners have turned to CBD dog treats for anxiety and CBD for cats’ anxiety issues.
A veterinary researcher at Cornell University plans to study the safety of CBD for cats to manage pain and side effects from chemotherapy. And preliminary research at Colorado State University found that dogs who received CBD treatment in a double-blinded clinical trial had less frequent seizures than a control group. “What we found seems very promising,” the lead veterinary researcher says.
